PDB ID search field
The PDB ID search field is used to select the PDBID values to be included in the search results.
Search results are returned in alpha order. Example field options are given in bold below:
- Any -- Selects all entries in the database for the selected motif(s).
- Single PDBID value -- Enter a single value. An example entry is 1FFK.
- Multiple PDBID values -- A comma separated list. An example is 1FFK,1JJ2.
- Range of PDBID values -- Enter a starting and ending PDBID. An example is 1FFK-1JJ2. The starting and ending values do not need to be actual PDBID values. Entries shorter than 4 characters are padded to the right. As an example, a search with entry 1-2 will return all PDBID values beginning with 1.
- Mixed single values and range -- An example is 1FFK,1JJ2,1Q81-1VQ4,2HHH.
- Upload -- Use this option when a long list of PDB values is requested. This entry will prompt the user to upload a file containing single and range values. The file must end in .txt, and should contain a single value or range on each line. A file size limit of 500KB is enforced. An example file content is:
1FFK
1HNZ
1XMQ-1YHQ
1Z43
